This research focuses on Athenian women as an epitome of female authority which challenges the male supremacy and strive for their struggle political empowerment. Role reversal aspect is found in Aristophanes’ play Lysistrata hidden under mask erotic humor this aims to highlight that facet. For purpose, will use frameworks regarding gender power from book Gender Power: Society, Person Sexual Politics by Raewyn Connell. 411 B.C. Greece was a democratic state ruled predominantly males hence society affected phallic roles. So, paper analyze perspective inequality faced attempt observe limited involvement at level opposition inclusion. article study multiple differing interconnecting facets are against predetermined societal roles, motive using sex strike tool challenge dictatorship its modern day application. It also explore how dominant personality comparison domestic households affairs used tools challenging authority. concludes with message it instills world. Although socialized stay subservient nurturing males, but calls equal division labor amongst all without any discrimination prejudice.
